Almond Bars
Instructions:
- Crust:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
- Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp almond extract.
- Frosting:
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoon milk
- 1 tsp almond extract.
- Crust:
- Mix well and pat into even layer in a 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake crust at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Filling:
- Beat together well and pour over crust while it is still hot.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes (350 degrees).
- Cool.
- Frosting:
- Whisk together and spread evenly on baked, cooled cookies.
- Cut into bars
- makes 24 to 36 bars.
