Apple Topping For Ice Cream
Instructions:
- 1/3 cup of Minute Tapi oca
- 1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 cups of sliced tart apples
- 2 cups of water
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons o f butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Mix all if the ingredients together and let stand for 10 -15 minutes to allow the tapioca to dissolve.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring often.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the apples are tender.
- Serve warm with a sprinkle of nutmeg over ice cream.
