Apricot multigrain Breakfast
Instructions:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups millet or barley flakes
- 1â„2 cup wheat germ
- 1â„2 cup sesame seeds
- 1â„2 cup raw peanuts, roughly chopped
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
- 2â„3 cup dried banana slices, chopped if large
- 1â„4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp finely chopped crystallized ginger
- 1 tbsp unrefined light brown sugar
- Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container. Serve with milk and/or plain Greek-style yogurt and a trickle of honey, if desired.
- For a hot breakfast, mix 1/2 cup of the cereal with 1/2 cup milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy, about 3 minutes.
