Apricot salad
Instructions:
- Apricots are a very nutritious addition to your daily diet. This salad was once a staple at church potluck suppers.
- 1 egg
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Mustard
- 1/2 cup sweet milk (cream)
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 can apricots, drained
- 4 bananas
- Whip the egg, add lemon juice, sugar, and mustard.
- Then add sweet milk.
- Cook in double boiler until thick. Cool.
- Whip cream, open apricots and drain, peel bananas.
- In salad mold place a layer of bananas then the apricots.
- Pour the sauce over the whole mixture.
- Chill in the icebox.
