Barbeque Sauce
Instructions:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1-1/2 teaspoons liquid smoke (optional)
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce.
- Combine everything in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Let simmer for about 20 minutes. Cool.
- Use to baste meat during the last 10-15 minutes of broiling or barbequeing.
- Keeps well in the fridge.
- Excellent on beef, pork, chicken. Yields 1-3/4 cups.
