Beans bundled in country ham
- 1 recipe Cook-and-Hold Beans ;
- 8 long, very thin slices center-cut country ham;
- 4 tablespoons butter or garlic butter, melted.
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Divide the beans into 8 equal bundles. The beans should be parallel to one another, like cordwood. Arrange the slices of ham on a clean work surface. Place a bundle of beans at one short end of each slice and roll them up so that the ham forms a belt around the center of the bundle.
- Place the bundles in a baking dish large enough to hold them in a single layer. Drizzle the melted butter over the bundles. Bake until the beans are warm and the ham is a little crisp on the edges, about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
