Berry butter
Instructions:
- Combine the berries, confectioners’ sugar, orange zest, vanilla, and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Crush the berries with a potato masher or the back of a spoon until fairly smooth. Add the butter and stir vigorously to combine.
- Spoon into an airtight container and refrigerate until firm. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or transfer into a freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
- What else works? You can use any combination of berries, including strawberries and blueberries.
