Blackberry Pie
Instructions:
- 4 cups blackberries
- 1½ cups sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1½ tablespoons butter
- unbaked pie crust (bottom and top)
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Combine blackberries, sugar, salt, and flour.
- Pour mixture into a pie crust and spot butter around top.
- Cut pie crust top into strips and lattice to make a top crust.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until crust is brown.
- Hint: to prevent juice from running out of berry pies, make a paste of flour and water and spread paste around the edge of the bottom crust before adding top crust.
