Nourish yourself like an omnivorous

If you have enough space, buy a freezer.

If you find a good supplier of meat, produced in a traditional way, on a pasture, buy a big amount of meat- a quarter of veal, or a whole pig. This is a great method to eat healthy without spending a lot of money. Freezers are a much cheaper than you expect because of the fact that you don’t open them as often as refrigerators. Besides, if you have a freezer you will buy larger quantities of season goods, then they are plenty and therefore cheaper. And (unlike conservation) freezing doesn’t significantly diminish the nutritional value of fresh products.

Nourish yourself like an omnivorous

No matter if you eat or not animal products, try to enrich your nourishment with some new food species, not just with new products. The confusing diversity of foods in supermarkets is misleading because many products are made of the same plants- especially from seeds- like soybean or grain. The higher your diet is more varied in terms of consumed products species, the more you will answer several nutritional needs.

This is an argument assumed from nutritionists, but there is a better one which involves a larger vision on health.

The biodiversity of food means greater biodiversity of cultivated lands. If we don’t reduce the mono-crops that are nourishing us in the present, farmers no longer would have to spread so many chemical fertilizers, and soils, plants animals and hence the people would be much healthier. Health is not restricted only to your own body and probably what is good for the soil is good for you as well. This brings us to the following rule: Eat products grown and cultivated on healthy soils

Diets: why have we never succeeded until now? Part II

Every diet is perceived by the organism as a threat. When this threat is repeated, metabolic adaptation appears, as a defensive reaction as a survival strategy that represents slowing down your metabolism so that it uses ‘less fuel’ to keep all mechanism in function.slow-down-metabolism

In other words, the less we give to our body, the less our body will get used to consuming less, and we won’t lose weight even if we’re consuming 700-800 kcal per day.

And the matter gets even worse! Due to the lack of results, we are tempted to go back to our old eating habits and, of course, the excess fat returns as well. Only this time it will be PURE FAT!!!

SO, after numerous diets our body composition changes so that, if we’re lucky and maintain our weight, the fat percentage will be higher, and because fat is lighter, weighting the same 60 kilograms will make us look worse.

Fats to our diets ?

There are good and “bad’ fats, some toxic, some neutral, and some essential to good health. All animal and plant fats can be broken down into fatty acids, glycerin, and water. Fats and lipids are better energy sources than protein or carbohydrates.good-fats

We need to add fats to our diets because they carry the fatsoluble vitamins A, D, E, and

K. Vitamin K is easily destroyed by the use of mineral oil, Heparin and Dicumarol

(blood thinners), drugs, or aspirin. Most people overlook, the need for vitamin K, but it has recently been linked to intestinal disorders. It is important in the treatment of arthritis.

One rich source of vitamin K is alfalfa. The right kind of fat is essential for good health. most people consume too much of the wrong kind. Excess fat is stored in the liver, in arteries around the heart, and in all tissues.fats-are-all-fats-bad

Cancer of the breast, prostate, and colon, not to mention obesity and an increased risk of heart attack, are linked to a high-fat consumpation. The typical American diet consists of 40-50 % fat, a primary reason for the rise in the disorders mentioned above.

Saturated fats are behind many health problems, and should be omitted form your diet. They are behind heart disorders and arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). High intake of saturated

fats-picturefats have been shown to elevate serum cholesterol, and contribute to heart disease and cancer. Do not consume saturated fats! They slow the liver’s ability to remove arter-clogging LDL (low-density lipopreteins) from the blood. However, the nomounsaturated fats aid in removing LDl (bad fats) from the blood stream.
