Broiled Cod Steaks Montauk
Instructions:
A flavored mayonnaise topping is a quick way to add punch to broiled fish. 1â„4 cup mayonnaise 1â„2 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1â„8 teaspoon salt 1â„8 teaspoon ground black pepper 4 cod steaks, 1â„2 inch thick (6 ounces each)
Makes 4 main-dish servings. Prep: 5 minutes Broil: 6 minutes
- Preheat broiler.
- In small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until blended.
- Lightly oil rack in broiling pan. Place cod on rack in broiling pan. Place pan in broiler, 4 inches from heat source. Broil cod until just opaque throughout, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove broiling pan from broiler. Brush mayonnaise mixture on fish.
- Return pan to broiler; broil until mayonnaise mixture is lightly browned and bubbling, 1 to 2 minutes longer.
