Candied bacon
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Set a wire rack inside a large rimmed baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment. Mist the rack with the spray.
- Stir together the brown sugar, cayenne, and mustard on a plate.
- Press one side of each slice of bacon into the sugar mixture to coat. Arrange the bacon sugar-side up in a single layer on the rack. Sprinkle the tops of the slices evenly with any remaining sugar mixture. Try not to scatter it onto the pan, where it will burn and turn black.
- Bake the bacon until it is crisp and the sugar is bubbling, about 15 minutes. Let the bacon cool on the rack until the glaze is firm.
