Chicken Kebabs
Instructions:
Kebabs are a popular lunch or evening dish. Serve with a vegetable dish, such
as masala subzi
and rice. 1 pound minced chicken meat
2 medium onions, sliced
1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 cup cilantro, chopped
1⁄2 tsp cumin
1⁄2 tsp white pepper
1⁄2 tsp garam masala (spice mix
available from Indian stores)
1 egg, beaten
salt to taste
1 lemon, sliced; 3 stalks spring onions, sliced, for garnish
and rice.
- Blend together all ingredients, except for the garnish, in a food processor.
- Mold the mixture into small sausage-shapes around metal skewers, two per skewer.
- Grill over a charcoal fire or under a hot grill until cooked, but still moist, turning often.
- Garnish with sliced spring onions and lemon, and serve.
