Chocolate chip pie mix

Mama received this mix for Christmas one year, and we all fell in love with this pie. It is very similar to the pie made famous in Louisville, Kentucky. If you haven’t ever tried a piece, you are in for a wonderful treat.

1 cup sugar

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 cup (6 ounces) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

½ cup sweetened flaked coconut

½ cup chopped pecans

• Combine the sugar and flour in an airtight plastic bag and seal. Put the chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans in a second airtight plastic bag.
• Place both bags in a gift container or box and attach the following directions for baking:
• Combine ¼ cup melted butter, the dry ingredient package, and 2 large eggs. Stir until the dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in the chocolate chip package.
• Spoon into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust.
• Bake at 350 F for 35 to 40 minutes.
