Chocolate Crinkles
Instructions:
Chocolate fans take note: This is a Christmas treat worth waiting for!
½ cup vegetable oil
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- In a large mixing bowl, mix oil, melted chocolate, and granulated sugar.
- Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add vanilla. Beat in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cover mixing bowl with plastic wrap. Chill for several hours.
- When ready to cook, preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease 2 medium baking sheets.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into confectioners’ sugar. Roll dough in sugar and shape into balls.
- Bake cookies on greased baking sheets until set, 10–12 minutes.
