Cinnamon hard sauce
Instructions:
- 1⁄4 cup butter;
- 1 cup powdered sugar;
- A dash of salt;
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon;
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream;
- 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- Cream the butter and add the sugar gradually, mixing until fluffy.
- Add the salt, cinnamon, heavy cream, and vanilla. Beat well. Shape into a roll about 2 inches thick, and chill. Cut into slices and place a slice on top of each hot apple dumpling.
