CLASSIC MARINARA SAUCE
Instructions:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 can Italian tomatoes
- 1 tbs oregano
- 1 tbs basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft in Dutch oven.
- Stir in tomatoes with liquid, 1/3 cups water, and seasonings. Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
- Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
- Serve over pasta.
