Creamy macaroni and cheese
Instructions:
- This is my mother’s smooth and creamy macaroni and cheese recipe
and the one that all of the kids love best. Just remember that everything
here comes in twos, it’s that easy!
- 2 cups dry macaroni
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cups cubed Velveeta
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Cook the macaroni according to the package directions until almost done and drain well.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the margarine in the microwave.
- Stir in the flour, then the milk. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the cubed cheese into the milk mixture and microwave at 30-second intervals until melted, stirring each time you check it. Stir in the cooked macaroni.
- Place in an oven-safe dish and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
