Crockpot Baked Beans
Instructions:
- 1 pound of dried great northern, or navy beans
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of mol asses
- 1/3 cup of catsup
- 1/4 pound of salt pork or bacon, diced
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- Simmer the beans in 6 cups of water for 30 minutes.
- Allow the beans to stand, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until softened and drain.
- Put all of the ingredients into a crockpot and add 1 cup water, stirring to blend.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours or on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally
