Dauphinoise Potatoes
Instructions:
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and partially boiled for 6 minutes
- 300ml double cream
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 200 C/gas mark 6. Slice the potatoes thinly and layer them into a buttered ovenproof dish.
- Put the cream, milk, garlic and salt and pepper into a saucepan. Heat to just boiling, then pour over the potatoes.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then serve.
- Serving suggestion
- Add some chopped chives and/or some grated Cheddar.
