Easy cake cobbler
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Whisk together the milk, sugar, flour, and vanilla in a medium bowl until well blended and set aside.
- Place the butter in a 9-inch square baking dish and place in the oven to melt. Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the berries evenly over the butter; do not stir. Whisk the batter again and pour over the fruit; do not stir. Bake until the cobbler is browned on top and bubbly around the edges, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool at least 10 minutes before serving.
- What else works? You can make this cobbler with whole blackberries, blueberries, or strawberries or with peeled, pitted, and thinly sliced peaches, apricots, or nectarines.
