Farfalle with pesto
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a boil in a large pan. Season with the salt, then add the farfalle.
- Stir once, then boil the pasta for 8-10 minutes, until tender but still firm to the bite (check the directions on the package).
- Grate the Parmesan cheese while you cook the pasta.
- Reserve some of the cooking water. For 2 servings, reserve 2 tablespoons of water. Drain the pasta.
- Put the pasta back into its pan then stir in the oil to prevent it from sticking together.
- Add the reserved cooking water to loosen the pesto, and stir well.
- Serve the farfalle in a soup plate or shallow bowl.
- Spoon over the pesto sauce.
