Glossy green beans
Instructions:
- 1 cup vegetable broth;
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch;
- 2 cups fresh green beans;
- 1⁄2 teaspoon crushed garlic;
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt;
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper;
- 1⁄8 teaspoon nutmeg.
- Combine broth and cornstarch.
- Heat mixture in small saucepan until slightly thickened.
- Steam green beans for 6 minutes.
- Toss green beans with garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Just before serving, brush beans with thickened vegetable stock.
