Holiday Sprouts
Instructions:
- 2 lbs. Brussels sprouts
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped coarsely
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- Remove outer leaves of sprouts and cut an ‘x’ into stem to speed cooking.
- Steam sprouts 15 minutes or until tender.
- Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes or until golden.
- Add walnuts and nutmeg and cook for 1 minute.
- Toss with sprouts just before serving.
