Instructions:
- 2 slices of bacon
- 1/4 cup of cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 1 tablespoon of sliced green onion
- 1 tablespoon of salt (more or less to taste)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- Black Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of sliced, black olives
- 2 heads of lettuce, rinsed, drained and cored
- Fry the bacon until crisp.
- Drain fat but leave the bacon in the skillet.
- Crumble up the bacon and add the vinegar, water, onion, salt, sugar, and the black pepper to skillet and heat to boiling.
- Tare the lettuce into small pieces in a salad bowl and add the olives.
- Pour the hot bacon dressing over lettuce and toss to coat.
