Layered Taco Dip

- 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
- 8 tablespoons (4 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- ⅔ cup taco sauce
- 1½ cups torn iceberg lettuce
- ⅓ cup chopped green bell pepper
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ¾ cup (3 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup (3 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- Tortilla chips
Instructions:
People will gather around this dish until it's gone.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and cream cheese; stir until smooth. On a large platter, spread the mixture to an 8-inch circle. Spread the taco sauce evenly over the top. Then layer with the lettuce, green pepper, onion, Cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese. Sprinkle the tomato on top. Serve with tortilla chips.
