Lovely Lentil Burger
Instructions:
- Lentils give this a nice flavor.
- 1 cup brown lentils
- 2 cups tomato juice (or veggie broth)
- 1 cube Beef Flavour (or salt to taste)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup organic corn flour (or other gluten free flour)
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts (pecans or almonds)
- Bring tomato juice to a boil and add lentils and bouillon.
- Bring back to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer 45 minutes.
- Mash well and add remaining ingredients.
- Shape into 8 burgers and fry in a non-stick skillet (use some oil if needed to brown evenly).
- These are good re-heated in gravy or tomato sauce
