Meat Loaf
Instructions:
- 8-inch Dutch oven
- 8 briquettes on the lid
- 8 briquettes on the bottom
- 1 pound ground lean beef or turkey burger
- 1 cup soda crackers, crushed
- 1 cup oatmeal
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ cup tomato soup
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning
- ½ cup chopped yellow onion
- Thoroughly mix ground beef, crackers, oatmeal, egg, soup, onion, salt, and seasoning. Bake for 50 minutes.
- Top with ketchup for the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Note: This recipe makes an excellent meat loaf that tastes great even when used for leftovers such as sandwiches.
- It has a hearty beef and onion flavor.
- Baking time: 350° for 50 minutes
