Old-fashioned strawberry whip

This will absolutely amaze you! It reminds me of a diet dessert I once made called "smashing spoof." The strawberries, powdered sugar, and egg white whisk up to voluminously fill a 3-quart serving bowl. Serve it as a topping for sliced fresh berries.
- 11⁄2 cups fresh, juicy strawberries, cleaned and hulled;
- 1 cup powdered sugar;
- 1 egg white.
- Mash the strawberries in the large bowl of an electric mixer. Add the sugar and egg white and beat with mixer at high speed, until stiff enough to hold its shape, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- It will multiply in volume many times, becoming light and fluffy.
