Onion brulee
Instructions:
- 1 or 2 yellow or white onions
- Slice each onion in half lengthwise (from stem end to tip).
- Put a saute pan over high heat. When the pan is hot, put the onion halves in the pan, cut sides down, and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the cut sides are deeply caramelized but not quite burned. Remove from the pan and use as required.
