2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons brandy
How to make
A festive and delicious braided pastry
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Grease 2 large baking sheets.
Combine flour, margarine, and brandy in a large mixing bowl and blend together to make dough.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into ropes approximately ½” thick.
Cut the ropes into 5 ‘’ strips.
Twist 2 pieces together; shape into a ring; pinch ends together to seal.
Repeat with remaining dough.
Place rings a good distance apart on prepared baking sheets. Bake rings until golden, approximately 12–15 minutes.
