Baked Brown Rice
  • TOAST rice in heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently until rice is a light golden brown.
  • BRING water to a boil.
  • TRANSFER rice to 1 quart casserole dish.
  • STIR in water and salt.
  • BAKE covered at 350° for 1 1/2–2 hours or until all water is baked out.
  • VARIATION: Add 1 1/2 tbsp. onion powder, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tbsp. soy sauce or Bragg Aminos, 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes.
