  Ingredients:
  • 1⁄3 cup olive oil;
  • 4 slices 1-lb white country-style loaf, cut into 2-oz slices;
  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • 2 tsp mild paprika;
  • 13⁄4 cups chicken stock;
  • 2 eggs.

How to make
Bread and garlic soup
    Place a frying pan over medium heat, then add half of the oil. When it is hot, add the bread.
  • Fry until well browned all over. Remove the slices from the oil.
  • Coarsely crush the garlic.
  • Place a large saucepan over medium heat, then pour in the remaining oil. Add the garlic and fry until golden.
  • Once the garlic has turned golden, add the paprika.
  • Add the fried bread and chicken stock.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes, then process with a hand-held blender. Meanwhile, cook the eggs to your liking.
  • The soup will be smooth and tasty.
  • Serve the soup with the cooked egg.
