  Ingredients:
    A flavored mayonnaise topping is a quick way to add punch to broiled fish.
  • 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 cod steaks, 1⁄2 inch thick (6 ounces each)

How to make
Broiled Cod Steaks Montauk
  • Preheat broiler.
  • In small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until blended.
  • Lightly oil rack in broiling pan. Place cod on rack in broiling pan. Place pan in broiler, 4 inches from heat source. Broil cod until just opaque throughout, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove broiling pan from broiler. Brush mayonnaise mixture on fish.
  • Return pan to broiler; broil until mayonnaise mixture is lightly browned and bubbling, 1 to 2 minutes longer.
  • Makes 4 main-dish servings.
