  Ingredients:
    • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and partially boiled for 6 minutes
    • 300ml double cream
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1 garlic clove, chopped
    • Salt and black pepper to taste

How to make
Dauphinoise Potatoes
  • Preheat the oven to 200 C/gas mark 6. Slice the potatoes thinly and layer them into a buttered ovenproof dish.
  • Put the cream, milk, garlic and salt and pepper into a saucepan. Heat to just boiling, then pour over the potatoes.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, then serve.
    Serving suggestion
  • Add some chopped chives and/or some grated Cheddar.
