  Ingredients:
    • 1/3 cups olive oil
    • 1 1/2 lb round steak
    • 1 green pepper cut into strips
    • 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
    • 1 can water chestnuts, drained
    • 1 jar home style beef gravy
    • 1 large can chow mein noodles
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 large onion, sliced
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 pkg. long grain brown rice
    • soy sauce

How to make
ROUND STEAK ORIENTAL
  • Cut steak into 1/4in strips.
  • Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add steak, onion, garlic, green pepper, mushrooms, and salt.
  • Cook until meat is brown, stirring constantly.
  • Add water chestnuts and gravy.
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Serve over cooked long grain brown rice and sprinkle with chow mein noodles.
  • Use soy sauce to taste.
