Roasted Figs with Gorgonzola
Instructions:
Roasted figs are a simple and elegant appetizer, or a light dessert
for a hearty meal. The vibrant cheese flavor is complemented by
the sweet and meaty figs. Of course, fresh figs are ideal, but dried
will work. If you use dried, try to find figs that still have some
moistness to them by pressing to see if they are soft. If they are
not, they are too dry to use in this recipe
12 figs
6 ounces gorgonzola cheese
Honey
Rosemary
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut the stem off each fig and then cut an X into it. Stuff a portion of gorgonzola about the size of a fingertip into the slit.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- To serve, drizzle honey on each plate and rest a stuffed fig on the honey.
- Add a garnish of rosemary.
