ROUND STEAK ORIENTAL
Instructions:
- 1/3 cups olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb round steak
- 1 green pepper cut into strips
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained
- 1 jar home style beef gravy
- 1 large can chow mein noodles
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 pkg. long grain brown rice
- soy sauce
- Cut steak into 1/4in strips.
- Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add steak, onion, garlic, green pepper, mushrooms, and salt.
- Cook until meat is brown, stirring constantly.
- Add water chestnuts and gravy.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Stir occasionally.
- Serve over cooked long grain brown rice and sprinkle with chow mein noodles.
- Use soy sauce to taste.
