SPAGHETTI SAUCE
Instructions:
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 lb hot Italian sausage
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/4 cups parsley flakes
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cups celery, chopped
- 1 28oz can tomatoes paste
- 1 12 oz can tomato paste
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/3 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- Place olive oil and sausage in pre heated Dutch oven and cook until well browned.
- Add onions, celery, parsley, green pepper, and garlic. Cook until veggies are tender.
- Blend in remaining ingredients.
- Simmer over slow heat for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
- Stir often to prevent scorching.
- Add water as needed for desired consistency.
- Serve over cooked pasta.
