Spanish macaroni
Instructions:
- 4 tablespoons shortening
- Minced large onion
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pound ground meat
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Macaroni
- 11/2 pound grated cheese
- Put shortening in a pan and heat.
- Add minced onion and sprinkle in flour.
- Fry until tender and add green pepper and tomatoes and sugar.
- After all this comes to a boil, add ground meat, salt, and chili powder. Let simmer until done.
- Add cooked macaroni.
- Don’t cook over 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over mixture.
