Spiced Nuts
Instructions:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- ½ cup boiling water
- 1 ½ cups nut meats
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- Mix sugar, cinnamon, cream of tartar, and water.
- Boil to 246º. (Firm ball in cold water.)
- Add nut meats. Add vanilla.
- Stir until the mixture sugars.
- Separate nuts on waxed paper.
- Let cool and store in tight container.
