Succulent brined shrimp
Instructions:
- Combine the salt, sugar, and water in a large bowl, stirring until the solids dissolve. Add the ice. Immerse the shrimp in the brine and refrigerate for 20 minutes, but no longer or the shrimp will be too salty.
- Drain the shrimp, rinse them thoroughly under cold water, and pat dry with paper towels. Cook at once.
