Sweet salad dressing
Instructions:
- This is good with fruits and bananas, chopped apples and seeded Tokay grapes
- 1 rounded tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 scant teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 1 cup thin cream or half-and-half
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Beat egg in saucepan.
- Add cream, then vinegar.
- Add dry ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened. Cool.
- Add cream or milk until of the right consistency.
