Texas star salad
Instructions:
- 1 package cooked frozen shrimp or 1 pound fresh shrimp, diced
- 1 can undiluted tomato soup
- 3 packages cream cheese
- 2 envelopes gelatin
- 1/ 2 cup water
- 1 1/ 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/ 2 cup chopped celery
- 1/ 2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/ 2 cup chopped onion
- Clean, de-vein, and cook shrimp. Set aside.
- Heat soup, then add cheese and stir until well blended.
- Dissolve gelatin in tap water.
- Pour soup over gelatin in large bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved.
- Add mayonnaise, celery, green pepper, onion, and shrimp.
- Blend, then pour into mold that has been rinsed with cold water.
