Wisconsin Brie en Cro没te

- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 (17录-ounce) package frozen puff pastry sheets
- 1 wheel Brie or Camembert cheese (about 2 pounds)
Instructions:
Wisconsin Brie en Cro没te makes an incredible appetizer, whether it's for a party or picnic.
- Preheat the oven to 375掳F.
- Beat the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of water. Set in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Thaw the puff pastry for 20 minutes, and then unfold. Roll out one pastry square until it is approximately 陆 inch larger than the circle of cheese. Place the Brie in the center of the circle and trim the edges, leaving a 陆-inch border. Brush the border with the egg mixture.
- Roll the second square of pastry until it is large enough to fit over the cheese, again allowing the 陆-inch border. Place the pastry over the circle of cheese and press the two pastry circles together to seal. If desired, decorate with cutouts made from pastry scraps (heart shapes, crescents, twists, etc.) and apply with the egg mixture. Brush the top of the Brie en cro没te with the egg mixture and place on an ungreased baking sheet in the middle of the oven.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
